Daryl Nicholson is an award winning Georgia artist, best known for her figurative paintings, often intertwining a group of people and obscuring the background. She uses vintage and current photographs as well as life drawing for reference. Impressionist in style, she likes to push the limits of color and paint application, using strong design, vibrant colors and distinct brush strokes. Essentially, her philosophy is to "break the rules ~ that’s what keeps it fun"! 

 

Daryl's work has been accepted into numerous juried exhibitions, winning awards at the local, regional and national level. Her paintings can be found in private and corporate collections around the country. Professional organizations include: American Watercolor Society, Past President and Signature Member of the Georgia Watercolor Society, Signature Member of the Tallahassee Watercolor Society, Board Member of the Landings Art Association, Merit Member of the Atlanta Artists Center, Signature Member of the Light, Space and Time Online Gallery and the South Carolina Watermedia Society.
